Description
The MICROLIT AQUA Multi-functional Electronic Pipette is an advanced liquid-handling solution designed to improve precision, repeatability and workflow efficiency across a wide range of laboratory applications.
The AQUA range is available in single-channel, fixed-spacing 8-channel and 12-channel models, as well as adjustable-spacing multichannel configurations with 4, 6, 8 or 12 channels. Depending on the selected model, the system can measure and transfer volumes from 0.2 µl up to 10,000 µl.
Its electronic operating system offers 12 pipetting modes and techniques, allowing users to tailor workflows for ordinary, volatile, foaming, viscous and other liquid types. Available operations include forward pipetting, reverse pipetting, heterogeneous sample pipetting, multi-stage aspiration, mixing, sample-solution handling, manual pipetting, titration, gel loading, multiple dispensing, sequential dispensing and repetitive pipetting.
Three selectable speed settings—Low, Medium and High—allow the aspiration and dispensing rate to be adjusted according to the liquid and application. The pipette can also store up to six customised programs in its internal memory, allowing frequently used protocols to be recalled and repeated conveniently.
The AQUA’s ergonomic design supports comfortable one-handed operation and helps reduce strain during repetitive laboratory work. A volume-adjustment wheel enables fast volume setting and menu navigation, while soft programming keys simplify protocol selection and customisation.
A large display with 1-inch tempered LCD glass provides clear visibility while offering protection against scratches, accidental impacts and chemical spills. The 304-grade stainless-steel tip cone provides high dimensional accuracy for reliable tip fitment, while the universal tip-cone design supports compatibility with commonly accepted laboratory tips.
The adjustable-spacing multichannel models allow tip distances to be changed from 4.5 mm to 26 mm, depending on the model. This enables efficient sample transfer between different formats, including 384-, 96-, 48-, 24- and 12-well plates. By transferring multiple samples simultaneously between formats, the adjustable-spacing system helps reduce manual handling, save time and improve reproducibility.
These variable-spacing models also feature electronic one-button control and a tubeless, fully rotatable 360° pipetting head, improving display visibility, ergonomics and access to instrument parameters during operation.
The external detachable rechargeable battery helps minimise downtime during critical laboratory procedures. The system uses a 4.2 V lithium-ion battery with an 800 mAh capacity, requires approximately two hours to charge and provides up to eight hours of operation when fully charged. Type A and Type C charging options are supported.
The lower components of the AQUA can be autoclaved at 121°C for 20 minutes at 1 bar, while the complete device can be sterilised using UV light.
Each MICROLIT AQUA is calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory according to ISO 8655 standards, and a calibration certificate is included with the instrument.
Combining programmable electronic operation, broad volume coverage, adjustable channel spacing and ergonomic handling, the MICROLIT AQUA provides a flexible pipetting solution for research, diagnostics, life sciences and other high-throughput laboratory applications.
