Description
The MICROLIT ULTIMUS Bottle Top Dispenser is a versatile, precision-focused laboratory instrument designed to simplify multiple liquid-handling procedures. Its patented, award-winning Dual Inlet® Technology allows users to perform four different operations without repeatedly dismounting the dispenser from the reagent bottle.
The Dual Inlet® system supports:
- Standard dispensing – liquid is dispensed normally from the mounted bottle into the receiving vessel.
- Purging – liquid is recirculated back into the mounted bottle, removing air from the dispenser without wasting reagent.
- Dilution, rinsing or second-liquid dispensing – liquid from a secondary source can be delivered into the receiving vessel. This allows distilled water or another liquid to be used for rinsing the dispenser or diluting a reagent without dismounting the instrument.
- Bottle refilling – liquid from a secondary source can be transferred into the mounted bottle, allowing the bottle to be refilled without removing the dispenser.
These four operating modes help reduce interruptions, improve workflow efficiency and minimise unnecessary handling of reagent bottles.
The MICROLIT ULTIMUS features an ergonomic EasyKnob® volume adjustment system, which offers 180° rotation for effortless and accurate volume setting. Its adjustable FlexiNozzle® provides greater flexibility when dispensing in restricted or demanding laboratory conditions, while the specially designed bottle adapter rotates through 360° for convenient positioning.
A PTFE piston with an ETP O-ring supports smooth movement and excellent chemical compatibility. The dispenser is available in six volume ranges:
- 0.25–2.5 ml
- 0.5–5 ml
- 1–10 ml
- 2.5–30 ml
- 5–60 ml
- 10–100 ml
The ULTIMUS is supplied with five bottle adapters in 28 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 45 mm sizes, enabling it to fit most standard laboratory reagent bottles. Four additional reservoir covers—32 mm, 36 mm, 40 mm and 45 mm—are provided for the secondary bottle. An adjustable telescoping tube is also included to accommodate different bottle sizes.
The instrument is fully autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 10–15 minutes. It is calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory according to ISO 8655 standards and is supplied with a calibration certificate and tool for convenient in-laboratory recalibration.
Combining four operating modes, precise volume control and ergonomic handling, the MICROLIT ULTIMUS offers an efficient solution for laboratories performing routine dispensing, purging, rinsing, dilution and bottle-refilling procedures.
