The MICROLIT RAMBO is a comprehensive range of high-precision micropipettes designed to support accurate, consistent and comfortable liquid handling in practical laboratory environments. The range includes single-channel fixed-volume micropipettes, single-channel variable-volume micropipettes, and variable-volume multichannel models in 8-channel and 12-channel configurations.
At the core of the RAMBO range is Microlit’s µAir® Technology, which minimises the dead air space between the piston and the sample contained in the pipette tip. By reducing air compression during aspiration and dispensing, the technology helps minimise volume variability and supports improved accuracy and precision. This direct coupling between the piston and liquid also promotes reliable performance under varying laboratory, environmental and technique-related conditions.
Designed for comfortable, prolonged use, the RAMBO features an ergonomic and lightweight polypropylene body that supports easy single-handed operation. The durable housing is lightweight, scratch-resistant and dirt-resistant, making the micropipette suitable for routine laboratory use.
A soft plunger mechanism provides light and controlled pipetting, while the volume adjustment knob allows fast volume setting through effortless rotation. The spring-and-ball-based digit-change mechanism helps prevent accidental volume changes during operation, supporting greater confidence and repeatability.
For efficient tip handling, the RAMBO incorporates a seamless integrated tip ejector, designed to release tips with optimal force. Its universal tip cone is compatible with most internationally accepted standard pipette tips, helping laboratories simplify consumable selection and daily workflows.
The micropipette also includes a durable, scratch-resistant display for clear volume visibility. Colour-coded capacity identification allows users to quickly distinguish between different models during everyday laboratory procedures.
The MICROLIT RAMBO range covers a broad selection of capacities:
- Fixed-volume single-channel models: 1 µl to 10,000 µl
- Variable-volume single-channel models: 0.2–2 µl to 1,000–10,000 µl
- 8-channel variable-volume models: 0.5–10 µl to 40–300 µl
- 12-channel variable-volume models: 0.5–10 µl to 40–300 µl
The instrument is fully autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 15–20 minutes, supporting laboratory hygiene and contamination-control requirements.
Each MICROLIT RAMBO is calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory according to ISO 8655 standards, with a calibration certificate included with every instrument. The micropipette is also designed for straightforward user recalibration in a minimal number of steps.
