Description
The MICROLIT LENTUS® Bottle Top Dispenser is a specialised, high-precision liquid-handling instrument designed for dispensing hydrofluoric acid, high-purity media, and acids and bases used in trace-analysis applications.
Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive and should not be handled using standard organic and inorganic reagent dispensers. The LENTUS® is therefore manufactured using carefully selected and tested materials, with a valve system made from high-purity ceramic components to provide maximum resistance to hydrofluoric acid. Following appropriate cleaning, the dispenser can also handle high-purity media while releasing virtually no metal ions.
The instrument incorporates Microlit’s award-winning Springless Valve® Technology. Unlike traditional bottle top dispensers that use a metal spring in the outlet valve, both the inlet and outlet valves in the LENTUS® are positioned vertically and operate without a spring. This design reduces the risk of metal reactivity, chemical deposition and piston jamming, while supporting smooth, jam-free movement and service-free operation.
An integrated Recirculation Valve redirects liquid back into the mounted reagent bottle during priming or purging. This helps prevent unnecessary reagent loss and facilitates bubble-free dispensing, which is especially important when working with specialised or high-purity chemicals.
Volume adjustment is controlled through the ergonomic EasyKnob®, which provides 180° rotation for quick and effortless setting. The adjustable FlexiNozzle® offers greater flexibility when dispensing in demanding laboratory environments, while the specially designed bottle adapter rotates through 360° for convenient instrument positioning.
A PTFE piston with an ETP O-ring facilitates smooth piston movement and provides excellent chemical compatibility. The LENTUS® is available in five volume ranges:

The dispenser is supplied with five bottle adapters in 28 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 45 mm sizes, allowing it to fit most standard laboratory reagent bottles. An adjustable telescoping tube is also included to accommodate different bottle heights.
The MICROLIT LENTUS® is fully autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 10–15 minutes. It is calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory according to ISO 8655 standards, with a calibration certificate and tool supplied for convenient in-laboratory recalibration.
