The MICROLIT BEATUS Bottle Top Dispenser is a sophisticated laboratory liquid-handling instrument designed to provide precise, reliable and economical reagent dispensing. It combines award-winning Springless Valve® Technologywith a dedicated Recirculation Valve, helping laboratories reduce reagent waste while maintaining smooth and consistent dispensing performance.
During priming or purging, the Recirculation Valve redirects liquid back into the mounted reagent bottle instead of discharging it through the delivery nozzle. This helps prevent unnecessary reagent loss and facilitates bubble-free dispensing, making the BEATUS particularly valuable when working with costly, sensitive or limited-volume reagents.
Unlike traditional bottle top dispensers that use a metal spring in the outlet valve, the BEATUS features vertically positioned inlet and outlet valves that do not require a spring. This innovative design reduces the risk of chemical deposition and piston jamming while supporting compatibility with both organic and inorganic reagents. The result is smooth, jam-free piston movement and dependable, service-free operation.
For straightforward volume adjustment, the dispenser incorporates the EasyKnob®, which offers 180° rotation for effortless setting. Its adjustable FlexiNozzle® provides greater control and flexibility when dispensing in demanding laboratory conditions. A specially designed adapter allows 360° rotation, enabling the instrument to be positioned conveniently without moving the reagent bottle.
The BEATUS also features a PTFE piston with an ETP O-ring, providing smooth movement and excellent chemical compatibility. It is available in six volume ranges, from 0.25–2.5 ml through to 10–100 ml, allowing users to select the appropriate model for different laboratory applications.
Five bottle adapters—28 mm, 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 45 mm—are included to accommodate most standard laboratory reagent bottles. An adjustable telescoping tube is also supplied and can be adapted to suit different bottle heights.
The MICROLIT BEATUS is fully autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 10–15 minutes. Each instrument is calibrated in an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory according to ISO 8655 standards and is supplied with a calibration certificate and tool for convenient in-laboratory recalibration.
